Terms of Service & Training Policies
Rainbow Aquatics & Training · Last updated: 10/16/2026
1. Agreement to These Terms
By completing a booking or payment, the person registering (“Purchaser”) and the person attending (“Participant”) agree to these Terms. A Purchaser registering someone else confirms they have authority to accept these Terms for that person. Electronic acceptance counts as a legal signature. Rainbow Aquatics & Training (“we,” “us”) may update these Terms, and the version in effect at the time of booking applies.
2. Nature of Our Services
We provide American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED training, currently including Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. [Client to confirm exact authorization, e.g., “We are an authorized American Red Cross instructor/training provider.”] Courses are taught and evaluated to American Red Cross standards.
A booking reserves a seat in a specific class, at a specific date, time, and location. Booking and payment do not guarantee certification. We do not guarantee that a certification will satisfy the requirements of any employer, school, league (including PSAL), or government agency. Participants should confirm those requirements themselves before booking.
3. Blended Learning Requirements
Our course has two parts: an online portion (about 4 hours, self-paced) and an in-person skills session (about 2.5 hours).
- The online portion is mandatory and must be finished before the in-person session.
- We recommend finishing it at least [72 hours] before class so any technical problems can be fixed.
- Bring proof of completion to class. Without it, you cannot take part in the in-person session.
- Technical problems with the American Red Cross online platform must be taken up with American Red Cross support.
4. Certification Requirements
Certification is earned only by participants who complete the online portion, attend the full in-person session on time, demonstrate all required skills to American Red Cross standards, and pass any required assessment. Participants who do not meet these requirements will not be certified.
Certificates are issued digitally by email through the American Red Cross, usually within [24-48 hours] of class. If you haven’t received yours within [10 business days], contact us at [email].
5. Eligibility and Age
Registration is open to individuals, coaches, schools, parents, and organizations. Participants must be at least [age] years old. [Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian complete the booking.] Course content and skills are the same for every participant, regardless of why they are certifying.
6. Physical Participation and Assumption of Risk
The course involves kneeling, repeated chest compressions, and hands-on skills practice. By booking, the Participant confirms they can take part safely and are responsible for consulting a healthcare provider if they have concerns.
Physical training carries some inherent risk of injury. The Participant voluntarily accepts those risks and, to the fullest extent permitted by New York law, releases Rainbow Aquatics & Training, its owner, instructors, and the facilities used from claims arising from ordinary negligence.

We’ll consider reasonable accommodation requests in line with applicable law and American Red Cross guidelines. Please contact us at least [21 days] before class. Some life-saving skills are required for certification and cannot be modified or waived. If a participant cannot perform them, even with accommodation, certification may not be possible.
14. Personal Property
Participants are responsible for their own belongings. We are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal items before, during, or after class.
15. Events Beyond Our Control
We are not liable for cancellations or delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, venue closure, public health emergencies, or government action. In those cases we’ll offer a transfer or refund under Section 8.
16. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to our services will not exceed the amount you paid for the course, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Participants agree to indemnify us against claims arising from their own conduct or failure to follow instructor directions. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where the law doesn’t allow it, such as for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Our website uses and links to third-party services, including Amelia Booking, [payment processor], and the American Red Cross. We don’t control these services, and their content, availability, and terms may change.
